  MadDawg Shades, LLC is primarily in the education, design, sale, installation and maintenance of outdoor “sun shades”. Our carefully selected vendors provide customers with shade configurations and durable materials for new construction, renovations and special structures. Typically, shade coverage is a tricky thing. Each project must be carefully planned to meet (1) the aesthetic objective, (2) engineered designed criteria (3) solar analyses (4) competitive pricing and (5) be on time and on budget.

Our fabric shades have substantially increased in popularity. The marketplace has discovered multiple uses for shade systems and textile facades to aid in reducing the sun’s ultraviolet (UVA) radiation. Maddawg utilizes PVC, PTFE, ETFE and HDPE canopy materials, each with a predetermined objective. Outdoor experiences as aquatics, sports, social, entertainment and children’s play are realizing the dangers of the sun’s rays. Customers finding solar shade systems as a reasonable solution for human protection.

Protecting our skin from the effects of the Sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays is essential in the prevention of:  skin cancer, premature aging, cataracts and immune suppression.  Moreover, we are still at risk of UV damage on cloudy or cold days. UV risks are not necessarily associated with just the heat and light of the sun. Even though some clouds may block a little UV radiation this does not necessarily reduce the risks. Some clouds can actually increase the intensity of UV rays by reflecting them and changing their direction.
